What Lumen reads
When you choose a folder, Lumen may read the images and file details needed to show thumbnails and make the folder searchable. This can include words inside images, colors, repeated-file checks, generation details, and other image traits. An optional local visual model can add appearance search.
Lumen stores this information in its local data on your Mac so it can search and organize the folders you chose. It is not a remote account record.
What Lumen does not do
- Lumen does not require an account.
- Lumen does not upload your images, filenames, paths, tags, OCR text, thumbnails, or search data to a cloud service.
- Lumen does not use analytics to profile your local image work.
- Lumen does not silently edit, move, rename, or delete original files.
Local model packs
Optional model packs are stored locally. Lumen checks a selected pack before installing or using it. The current product does not automatically download models from the network.
Your control
You choose which folders Lumen can follow. You can remove Lumen's index and other generated data without deleting the originals. Rename, move, and Trash require an explicit command and check the current file before changing it.
