About Lumen

More ways back to the image.

Lumen is a Mac-native workspace for the visual work that folders are good at storing but bad at remembering.

Most image software asks you to build a new home for your files. Lumen starts somewhere more honest: the folders you already use, the mess you already understand, and the originals you do not want to surrender.

The product bar

Lumen should feel fast, calm, private, and premium while doing considerably more underneath the surface than it shows at first glance.

That means images come first. Processing is durable and quiet. Search explains itself. Organization is suggested, never imposed. File actions are explicit, bounded, and recoverable when possible.

The product is deliberately opinionated about the boundary: understand the folder, help with the decision, create the derivative, and leave the source legible.

The boundary

Lumen is not a managed import library, cloud DAM, account system, or network AI service. It is not a full image editor. Its job is to help you see, remember, judge, organize, and finish the images that are already yours.

Built for the next image-heavy day

AI generations, screenshots, references, product shots, exports, variants, diagrams, and photos all belong in the same conversation.
