Manage the pile. Find the file. Keep the best.

Choose Downloads, Pictures, a project directory, or any other real folder you want Lumen to follow. The folder stays in its current location, and the files stay available to Finder and your other Mac apps.

Lumen shows the folder as an image wall. Thumbnails and details appear over time, while filenames and normal folder navigation stay available.

There is no import step and no second copy of the folder to keep in sync.

As it works through a folder, Lumen can create thumbnails, read words inside images, record colors, identify repeated files, save generation details, and capture other useful image traits. An optional local visual model can also describe how an image looks for appearance search.

This work is saved on your Mac. Lumen keeps track of the image as well as its file path, so it can reuse what it already learned when a file is renamed or moved.

Processing continues after a relaunch and gives priority to the folder and images you are looking at.

Search filenames, paths, tags, notes, words found inside screenshots, and local generation details. When the optional visual model is ready, search by appearance too, such as a color, subject, or visual style.

Use color, dates, traits, folder scope, favorites, rejects, collections, or saved searches to narrow the result. Each result can show whether it matched by text, color, appearance, or another local detail.

For example, start with “pricing table”, “warm orange”, “homepage”, or the name of a folder. Refine the result after you see what is there.

Use the image wall to scan the full result. Open Focus when one image needs more attention. Use Compare to view candidates together, and Duplicate Review to find repeated files before cleanup.

Mark favorites and rejects, add tags or notes, and save a group as a collection. These choices help you decide without changing the original image files.

Lumen can preview a batch rename, make resized copies with Crop, Fill, or Pad, create a contact sheet, export a selected group, and optionally upscale copies when a local upscale pack is installed.

An exported copy is a new file made from an original for a specific use. It can be a resized image, renamed copy, upscaled copy, or contact sheet. The original stays in place by default.

Rename, move, and Trash are separate actions that require your explicit command. Keep normal backups of important folders.

Lumen does not require an account, cloud upload, or network image processing. Its index, thumbnails, search data, and curation choices stay on your Mac. Local model packs are checked before use.

You can remove Lumen's index and other generated data without deleting the originals.
